We floated our boat round the beautiful green islands of Bijagos, Guinea Bissau. It was a great trip, often idyllic, sometimes hard work and always special.
There aren’t too many tourists make it to the Bijagos Islands and away from Bubaque town and a few expensive hotels scattered across the archipelago there’s practically none.
The islands are wide open for easy going exploration by bike, foot or boat. It’s a hippy paradise!
Looks a great place to spend some time. What about the wildlife? Birds, Birds , mammals Aquatic?
looks amazing, what about the wildlife? Birds, mammals and aquatic.
loads of birds and fish, small monkeys on some of the islands …
a few dolphins and manatees too if you’re lucky… and the wild, wild hippos of Orango … do not mess with them …
